Working With Photos

A key utility of LAMU is to help you find past photos. All different paths lead to a list of photos of interest to you. The list of photos are grouped by date, place, and camera.  Bellow is a list of actions you can take once you have a list of photos to work with.

View Photos

Double click on a photo to view the photo. The photo viewer will allow you to navigate to other photos in the current list using Previous and Next buttons. You can also use mouse wheel to zoom in and out photos.

You can view a slide show of the photos in the current list by clicking on the "Slide Show" button in the Action Bar.

To view a slide show of selected photos from the list, select the photos, then right click on any of the selected photos then choose "Slide Show" from the context menu.

Select/Unselect Photos

Click on a thumbnail to select it.
Click while holding down Ctrl key to select multiple photos one at a time.
Double-click a group header to toggle selection of all photos in the group.
When no photo is currently selected, dragging while holding left mouse button down to form a rectangle will select all photos that overlap with the rectangle area.
When no photo is currently selected, right click on any blank area will show "Select All" context menu. Click on it to select all photos in the view.
Click on any blank area will clear the selections.

Manage Selected Photos

After you have selected the photos you need, right click on any of the selected photos to see the context menu. Make sure you right click on a selected photo instead of a blank area as clicking on a blank area will clear the selection.

An example context menu is shown below. Depending on which view you are on, the context menu may contain items such as "Add to Album", "Tag Selected Photos", "Add to Favorites", "Change Date", "Geocoding", etc.
